Got this myself on my phone, and also it just declined to upgrade. Below's what worked for me.

Edit: this seems to be an issue that Facebook know. It's a problem with the Facebook app, and also not a generalised Play Store problem.

This is what helped me at the very least.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Shop, Clear information and also Clear cache

  2. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Provider > Manage room, Clear all information as well as Clear cache


It doesn't harmed if you reboot your phone before you try upgrading facebook once more. And also, the set up was SLOW. Just at the very least 4-5 minutes. However, it did job. Otherwise try to uninstall it, or merely wait for a repair.
